Suffice to say I got my cattle…

Ready To Go
I know shipping isn't until tomorrow but we finished all our preparations yesterday to get the job done. I always like to be ready a day or two early in case there is a problem i have time to take care of it. The last big thing we had to do was get the steer…

Finished
Well, we finished sorting the steers for the heifer pairs. We did a real big bunch, greater than 200, yesterday so we would be able to finish today. They actually worked real well. The only thing I didn't like was the number of calves I've had to doctor.
n
n
<img width='640' height='480' border='0' hspace='5'…

Rain Day
We took a day off from working the cattle today. There is a couple of extra days in the schedule for shipping so I saw no reason to get all cold and wet today when I will be able to finish in plenty of time. I needed a day off too. It felt good.
n<br…

Preg Checking
Just a quick update to say that preg checking went pretty good. Around 6% dries which is really good compared to last years 20 some % dry. I am pleased. The only fly in the ointment when it came to preg checking was one of the dries jumped out of the corral and headed off…

What a Day
I started the day fully expecting a fight but the school took a look at the blank form, said OK, and that was that. You could have floored me since I was all ready for a fight. I decided it must going to be a good day.
n
nWe had to go to Billings…

Cleaning Up
I finished cleaning the far pasture called the Williams place out today so I can start moving cows closer to home to ship the claves. I had made a pass through about a week ago getting some of them but then got busy with other projects and hadn't finished the job.
n
n<img width='640'…

Do Over
One of those days yesterday. You know those do over days. My personal vehicle died on Sunday so I had to find a way to get it to the garage to fix it. These damn newer vehicles are so complicated you can't work on them. My Darling Wife borrowed my father's vehicle to go to…

Private Property + No Trespassing = More pickup tracks than cow tracks in the Pasture I gathered this Morning
n
nSomeone(s) has been wandering around all over my far…
