Many people have been upset with Canada over thier lack of support for some of the United States actions lately. Then there is the BSE issue which has many in the agricultural industry upset with them. While none of these things have bothered me , here is an issue where they show common sense that the U.S. needs to look at. Canadian troops 'need to rest'. They admit that there troops are overextended and in need of rest from the commitments they have taken on in the world.
n<!–more–>
nNow in the U.S. while, saying our military is overextended, our leaders will not even consider paring back on our worldwide deployments. Thier solution is to issue stop-loss orders, deploy more reserve units, and make units deploy longer than they should. Now I am not sure what the answer to our overextended military forces should be but I do know that admitting there is a proplem is the first step in trying to come up with a solution for the problem. Sticking your head in the sand to pretend the problem does not exist will only make the problem worse and not help it, or the U.S. forces, at all.
n
nFor every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.
nH.
