Funding

I see the Legislature finally decided on some kind of school funding bill knowing it doesn't meet the mandate from the courts. They're going to "study" the issue some more, that means spend more money and time deciding.
n
nSo with all this fuss about funding Montana schools going on a new study shows up saying throwing more money at schools doesn't lead to a better education. DUHHH! Even this dumb cowboy knows that. There are a lot more factors leading to an education than how much money you throw at the students but politicians never take that into account. They think the more money you throw at a supposed problem, aren't Montana students some of the brightest in the country according to testing, the better the results will be. I hate to tell you but it only accomplishes one thing, more of our hard working tax money down the drain.
n
nI favor the policy of economy, not because I wish to save money, but because I wish to save people. The men and women of this country who toil are the ones who bear the cost of the Government. Every dollar that we carelessly waste means that their life will be so much the more meager. Every dollar that we prudently save means that their life will be so much the more abundant. Economy is idealism in its most practical terms. Calvin Coolidge
