I reluctantly support Country Of Origin Labeling on a national scale even though I know it will cost me more than I will gain from it. For Montana alone to do it is the height of stupidity. The big food companies could care less whether Montana has a law saying the food needs to be source verified and they won't do it. There's less than a million people live hear so the market is so small they don't give a shit.
n
n
"This is a death knell for our little grocery stores," said Rep. Joan Andersen, R-Fromberg.

n
nYea, lets support small business in the state by driving them out of business. Don't we have enough troubles without doing that? I mean the options there to say "origin unknown" which is all everybody is going to do to comply with this silliness. The extra expense and hassle of printing up all the signs is not neccesary in my opinion.
n
n There is nothing so easy but that it becomes difficult when you do it with reluctance.
