Finally

I have been waiting, and waiting, and waiting to see a calf on the cows and finally this morning I saw one. Actually there were two new baby calves on the cows. They are supposed to start on the 10th of March but usually there is a calf or two on the ground before February is over.
n
nThe cows are probably going to be like the heifers. They got a really slow start this year. I must have missed their cycle when I turned the bulls out last summer which explains the slow start. I keep telling the hired man the phase of the moon was wrong for breeding when we turned the bulls out. Whatever if is I am glad to start seeing calves on the cows.
n
nOne of them really funny things, I complain about the weather being too nice but for calving it couldn't be better. As dry as it's looking I would rather see some tough weather, as long as moistures involved, and a harder calving to what we have. I can't order the type of weather I want though so I guess we deal.
n
nFinally my innocence begins to weigh me down. Jean Racine
