Ephiphany

I have had one of my revelations. I've finally figured it out. The Good Book tells us; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as yourself. I've tried to live my life that way and feel I have mostly been successful. Sometimes it is really hard to do this when one of your neighbors just hates you and your family so much that they can't even speak to you civilly. I have always wondered how this family can have this attitude while proudly proclaiming their Christianity and my families supposed lack of the same.
n
nI've finally figured it out though. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as yourself. That's exactly what they do. They don't like themselves and who they are so they can't like anybody else. It really explains a lot about them to me. I now understand.
n
nThe basis of world peace is the teaching which runs through almost all the great religions of the world. "Love thy neighbor as thyself." Christ, some of the other great Jewish teachers, Buddha, all preached it. Their followers forgot it. Eleanor Roosevelt
n
nIn ways Craig's quote is also applicable.
