Excuse me?

"I want to give Montanans a sense of pride again about their state and about their leadership," he told the Gazette State Bureau. "That sense of pride will equate to Montanans being more likely to stay in Montana, Montanans more likely investing in Montana, Montanans having a better capability of attracting new investment in Montana. So philosophically, it's about believing in ourselves again."

n
nSo Governor BS sets his goal to give Montanan's a sense of pride in their state and leadership. I have not meet anybody that lives here and is not proud of the State. I don't doubt there might be a few out there, Gov. BS I assume, who aren't proud of the state but Montanan's are a pretty proud lot. Pride in their leadership though? They'll always be somebody who isn't proud of their leadership, I wouldn't know who ;-), and nothing BS can do will change it.
n
nThere is a lot of things that that can help the State of Montana but to set our only goal to make us feel better is not what a leader does. We don't need a cheerleader to run the state, we need a leader and this doesn't sound like a leader to me. It sounds like somebody trying to make himself sound good.
n
nVanity and pride are different things, though the words are often used synonymously. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves, vanity to what we would have others think of us. Jane Austen
