Sen. Conrad Burns is at it again. He is out there working so hard for Montana agriculture.
n
nLast week in the Senate Appropriations Committee, an effort to require mandatory labeling of fruits, vegetables, meat, meat products, and other food products by Jan. 1, 2005, failed by a vote of 14 to 14. Burns was one of the 14 senators to oppose attaching the amendment to the Agriculture Department's fiscal year 2005 spending bill.
n
nI just can't imagine why the Farmers Union would want to snub him. Just because most agricultural producers want COOL doesn't mean our esteemed junior Senator would support such a move. It's obviously more important to side with the big meat packers so you can fatten your campign war chest. He could have stepped up and made a difference in this matter but he failed to help Montana and all ag producers around the country.
n
nThanks for screwing us over again Conrad!!!!!!
n
n
nUnhappy the land that is in need of heroes.
