Yesterday was one of those days that I was going all day with no pause. The bad thing was I didn't get to see my Darling Wife much on her day. It isn't unusual for some reason to not be around much on her birthday but it still bothers me.
n
nI left the ranch at 6:00 am to get a generator to Billings to get it fixed. I got there when the place opened up and it didn't take an hour to get the generator fixed and I was on my way home. After I got home at about 11:00 am, didn't take time for lunch with her, it was out to set the generator up and then see what the tire guys were up to.
n<!–more–>
nI had found out an interesting thing about The Beast here recently. It seems like they don't manufacture tires for it anymore, haven't for over 5 years. I had been looking for some decent used ones to put on since the rubber was in such poor shape and had talked with the local tire dealer about it. He has been looking for two months and finally located 4 new tires but could never find any used ones. I decided to spend the money and get them, while I still could find tires, and yesterday they come out to put them on. For anyone that wants to complain about the price of thier vehicle tires think about this. It is costing about $850 a tire, over $3000, to put these tire on the beast. The guys putting the tires on were having a lot of trouble, food poisoning from the breakfast before they came out wasn't helping, so I pitched in to help them.
n
nWe finally finished, after the beast lived up to its reputation and gave us much trouble, at 5:00 pm and I managed to get home and eat something and see my wife when a thunder storm rolled over with lots of lightning and not much rain so by 6:30 pm off to check the place out and see if I could spot any fire starts. Didn't spot any yet, next couple of days will tell, and managed to get home by 10:00 pm when the darling wife was all ready in bed.
n
nFor some reason this seems to be the typical birthday for my darling wife, me running around so busy I can't spend any time with her. I'm sorry Hon. I agree with our oldest, Saturday, when I planned on making her birthday dinner for you, will be your day and this year we will just transplant your birthday to that day. Hopefully it will be a calmer day.
n
nNever apologize, mister. It's a sign of weakness. Frank S. Nugent
