Question

Please don't think that I have no sympathy for the plight of the homeless in the US. But as we were driving around yesterday I kept seeing people standing at street corners with their signs one question continued to plague my mind. How are these people able to have a Sharpie and piece of cardboard to write their signs? I live in a house with desks that have drawers and can't keep track of a Sharpie. How the heck are they?
