Moving Cattle

We moved some more cattle to the high country yesterday. The steer calves were still walking pretty tender after branding but they made it up there. It isn't a real long trip. To make it to the water hole we only had to drive them 6 miles or so. I need to get some water ready in another pasture so I can scatter a few more cows out. Normally I don't do it this way but the dry weather has me doing lots of things I am not used to doing. <br />n<br />nPriced the steer calves at $1.20/pound weighing 525 pounds. The buyer came back with $1.20/pound at 500 pounds. Told him no dice, 525 pounds is where I will price them. I might have priced them a little too low but you have to decide on a price and see where it leads. We'll see what happens but I bet he meets the price.<br />n<br />n<b>When you&acirc;
