I know I have been complaining about the lack of moisture but another problem around here has been the cool temperatures. It has been so cool that even if we had the moisture, nothing would grow. Well, that problem has finally fixed itself. Yesterday it finally broke 50 degrees for the first time this spring and today it might get to 80. What a change.
n
nI could almost see the grass growing yesterday. It won't take it long with these temperatures to suck what little moisture their is out of the ground. No significant rain or snow in the forecast though. Damn the bad luck.
n
nOne of the hardest things I know of in life is to wait for the weather to bring what you need. Whether it's rain or snow, sun or breezes, you just have to wait and hope the good Lord provides what is necessary. Sometimes what I think is necessary is not what the good Lord thinks is necessary, or at least that is the way it appears around here. I guess up to this point I haven't got the rain I need because it has been to cool to use it. Now that it is finally warming up, maybe the good Lord needs to think about moisture for growing things.
n
nWhat will happen is what will happen around here. I'm hoping there is enough moisture in the ground to get a little bit of grass growth. With a little bit of new grass I should have enough old grass to make it through the year. It won't be real pretty, but it should work. Very rarely is it pretty around here though, just getting by.
