Reading Minds

Sunday when me and the Boy went out and looked the cows over, I commented to him that the cows were looking good but that it looked to me like they had got the best out of their pasture they were in and that on Monday I was going to get the water set up and open the gates into a different pasture. The cows were scattered out well all over the pasture and seemed very content.
n
nYesterday morning I went over to set up the water and open the gates and guess what. The cattle were not spread out all over the pasture like the day before, they were all grouped up and heading for the gates into the pasture I was going to let them in. When I got to the other side I got to the gate at the same time the first line of cattle showed up to go out the gate. I opened the gate and they started streaming on in.
n
nSo, did the cows read my mind and head for the new pasture since I had planned on it over night or did I read their minds telling me that it was time to move on to new grass? I don't know that I will ever know the answer to that one. It's just odd how things work out that way sometimes.
n
nLet mystery have its place in you; do not be always turning up your whole soil with the ploughshare of self-examination, but leave a little fallow corner in your heart ready for any seed the winds may bring.
