Are alcohol companies using some of the same tactics that tobacco companies used to recruit underage kids to their products? According to this article they might be. I haven't ever visited one of these websites maintained by alcohol companies, nor do I want to, so I am just going by what the article states. Tobacco companies will deny to this day that they targeted teens with their advertising, but any halfway intelligent person can see they did. Now alcohol companies are making the same mistake. There is enough societal pressure out there to drink that I feel these companies are wasting their money targeting teens. Just target adult audiences and teens will pick up on it easy enough without specifically targeting them. When will these big companies ever learn.
n
nA common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
