I saw this story and all I could think about is Michael Erickson's Computer 4 Kids program. Good place to give old computers a good home.
n
nAt its most basic, we figured there wasn't any reason for unused computer equipment to be thrown away when there was any number of kids that could still put them to good use. We think you will agree that it is a good way to introduce children to computers in a home learning environment.
n
nThere are also other organizations that take used computers and give them a good home. I don't off hand know the names of the others but I'm sure they are not too hard to find. Remember this next time you go to discard a computer. Help the kids.
n
nCharity begins at home, but should not end there. Thomas Fuller
