The scale of stories like the <a href="http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/E/EGYPT_SHIP_SINKS?SITE=MTBIL&SECTION=INTERNATIONAL&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT">Egyptian ferry</a> disaster always awe me. It might seem odd that I say "awe me" but that's just what it does. They are saying probably more than 1000 lives were lost in this accident. Do you know, the large majority of Montana towns have less than that number of people living in them? That's why it awes me. Losing so many people at one time is just unimaginable. It's like losing whole towns in Montana.
