Large Loss of Life

The scale of stories like the Egyptian ferry disaster always awe me. It might seem odd that I say "awe me" but that's just what it does. They are saying probably more than 1000 lives were lost in this accident. Do you know, the large majority of Montana towns have less than that number of people living in them? That's why it awes me. Losing so many people at one time is just unimaginable. It's like losing whole towns in Montana. It's more than my mind can comprehend.
n
n
Another survivor, Nabil Taghyan, 27, said he saw the captain and crew flee in lifeboats.
n
n"The captain took the first speed boat, even though he should go last," Taghyan told The New York Times, according to its online edition Saturday.

n
nIt would sure be interesting to know if this is true or not. Pretty despicable if it is.
n
nI have spent more than half a lifetime trying to express the tragic moment. John Locke
