Idaho Cattle Producers are Facing a Struggle.

Brucellosis discovered in Idaho cattle
n
n
More than 50 cattle have been slaughtered in eastern Idaho after veterinarians confirmed brucellosis infections, a finding that could cause the state to lose its brucellosis-free status.
n
nBrucellosis can cause abortions in cattle and in rare cases can be passed to humans as undulant fever.

n
nWhat can I say. This more than likely will cause many restrictions on cattle movement in Idaho until they are designated brucellosis-free. The article doesn't specifically state that the infection comes from elk out of Yellowstone Park but the implication is made. It always strikes me as odd that the Federal Government, who requires private industry to control brucellosis, lets it run free in the National Park they control. I believe that's called hypocrisy last time I checked.
n
nWork and struggle and never accept an evil that you can change. Andre Gide
