Wages Increase

Bozeman short of workers
n
nSo, without a raise in the minimum wage, wages can still go up. But everybody on the left tells me this isn't true. The law of supply and demand works, isn't it amazing. So, if we as a state concentrate on job creation, wages will go up. Any first year econ student could have told you this. One down side you have to watch for though, with increasing wages brings increasing price of goods so how much the raise in wages helps is questionable. Supply and demand is very dynamic and any changes in the equation causes multiple changes throughout the system.
n
nI had to offer quite a bit more in wages than I'm used to doing to attract any applicants for my hired hand. Simple reason for it, not many people want to do this kind of work at the wages I was wanting to pay.
n
nOne man's wage increase is another man's price increase. Harold Wilson
