Hired Hand Yet Again

Well, I have a new hired hand again. I quit trying to find the perfect fit and hired someone that I feel can do the job and hopefully I can train to do the things he is weak in. He is more a general ranch hand/farmer but if he can sit a horse and help a little I can handle the cowboying myself. Truthfully, I don't expect him to stay very long.
n
nWhen I first spoke with him about the job he said he was looking for a place that was closer to town so his wife could work. I inquired how far from town he was? He said 35 miles. I told him this wasn't the place for him because we were 40 miles from town so he was getting in worse shape. We visited a little more and I knew I would never hear from him again. A couple days later he called back and said he had talked it over with his wife and they were interested in the job. What the hell I thought, and interviewed him some more and decided he would work until he quit. Can't find the right one so have to hire someone you know.
n
nHe gave notice where he's at and said he would be here on the 30th. We'll see. At least it's another pair of hands.
n
nWork consists of whatever a body is obliged to do. Play consists of whatever a body is not obliged to do. Mark Twain
