Lot’s of Snow

What a difference a few days can make. Such winter scenery. I had commented that the snow was about 12 inches here well that was on the Tullock side where I live. I went over to look at the cows yesterday and gather the yearlings and it is a lot deeper over in the Sarpy country. Hopefully it will all melt but I am not real sure.
n
n

n
n

n
nThe yearlings really looked good and came home pretty easy. Fresh, barley grazed pasture is where they are going, if they can dig the grass out of the snow of course. One of the big concerns is to get them out of the pine needles once there is snow on the ground. Mission accomplished.
n
n

n
nThe hired man left right after shipping so it makes things a little tough around here right now. I missed a doctor's appointment yesterday because of the snow and inability to get away. There have been a few people apply for the job and right now we have a couple of interesting candidates. The interesting candidates will require that I start calling the person a hired hand instead of a hired man. That could be hard to get used to if one of them works out I'm sure I will be able to manage the change.
n
nThis great misfortune – to be incapable of solitude. Jean De La Bruyere
