Montana still comes it at the bottom of the heap when it comes to the average wage per job according to the Department of Labor and Industry. Not a surprise, things don't change overnight but something really sticks out to me.
n
nWhy are we worrying so much about about worker training. Don't we need more businesses, high tech preferably but any above minimum wage job works, to create more jobs which will lead to higher wages as they compete for a scarce workforce? This makes sense to me. The Governor needs to attract business here, like with tax incentives maybe, so that more people will be employed and cause wages to rise. Don't get me wrong, if that were to happen more people might move to the state and pay taxes to offset the tax incentives to business, but who cares about that. [sarcasm]Down with business, up with workers, somehow it will work out[/sarcasm].
n
nAn economist's guess is liable to be as good as anybody else's. Will Rogers
