I finally heard what caused the tractor fire and the status of fixing it. The exhaust from the engine is routed down under the cab before it is exhausted from the tractor. Behind the engine, under the cab, the exhaust came apart and the hot engine gases melted the insulation on the electrical wires until they shorted together and started a fire. The dealer says that none of the sensitive electronics were damaged in the power surge so the cost of fixing it will not be too much. There is insurance on the tractor and they will cover the costs of fixing the tractor, minus the cost of the exhaust system since it started the fire, and the trucking costs to get it to and from Billings. All I have to do is pay the deductible. Good News. It should be back as early as next Monday. Good. I have some work for it.
n
nGood news about someone never gets past the door, but bad news will travel a thousand leagues away. Chinese proverb
n
