Credibility Problems

The White House really needs to stand up and take action on this before they lose all respect people might have for them. I know a lot of people out there have no respect for the White House all ready but some people do and their in danger of losing that if steps aren't taken.
n
n
Nearly two years after stating that any administration official found to have been involved in leaking the name of an undercover C.I.A. officer would be fired, and assuring that Karl Rove and other senior aides to President Bush had nothing to do with the disclosure, the White House refused on Monday to answer any questions about new evidence of Mr. Rove's role in the matter.

n
nHiding behind legal semantics is the wrong strategy here.
n
n
A prosecutor seeking to establish a violation of the law has to establish an intentional disclosure by someone with authorized access to classified information. That person must know (emphasis added) that the disclosure identifies a covert agent "and that the United States was taking affirmative measures to conceal such covert agent's intelligence relationship to the United States." A covert agent is defined as someone whose identity is classified and who has served outside the United States within the last five years.

n
nTrying to defend Rove by using the legal semantic that he didn't "know" the person worked for the CIA is like President Clinton standing there saying he had no sex with that woman. They are technical definitions that don't play well with the bulk of the American public and are a mistake.
n
nIf this situation with Rove is all true the President should honor his word and fire the man. With as much information as is out there now the President should suspend Rove from the White House until the investigation is finished. I doubt it will happen but that's the way I see it.
n
nAll credibility, all good conscience, all evidence of truth come only from the senses. Friedrich Nietzsche
