Is He or Isn’t He, That Is the Question

So, is Governor Brian Schweitzer's campaign fund in debt or not in debt. It appears to be a real good question.
n
n
Schweitzer faces between $25,000 and $40,000 in debts to cover a "win bonus" owed to his 2004 campaign media consultant, Struble Eichenbaum of Washington, D.C., and any late bills, he and Eric Stern, his chief counselor and 2004 campaign manager, said in separate interviews this week.

n
nBUT,
n
n
None of Schweitzer's campaign finance reports has listed any debts, including the latest one covering the period from Nov. 18, 2004, through March 5. 2005, that showed a positive cash balance of $24,879.

n
nSo campaign finance reports state he has a surplus in his campaign but the Guv says he's in debt. I wonder what is really going on. Creative bookeeping?
n
nThe question you're not supposed to ask is the important one. Mason Cooley
