A New Day

n
n
This is the beginning of a new day. God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it, or use it for good, but what I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it. When tomorrow comes this day will be gone forever, leaving in its place something that I have traded for it. I want it to be a gain and not a loss; good, not evil; success and not failure in order that I shall not regret the price that I have paid for it.
n
nAuthor unknown

n
nI thought the above saying was very appropriate for Thanksgiving this year. To me it really captured what this year was about for me.
n
nI found this saying in my dads things as I was cleaning out some of his stuff. I didn't just find it once, but over and over again on many different things and in many different forms. It really seemed to define who he was as an individual. It truly does sound like him and how he lived his life and I guess I am thankful that I picked up on this and live my life the same way. That each day in precious and needs to be used like it is precious.
n
nI miss my dad terribly but I am thankful that he helped shape who and what I am. I didn't realize how precious that was until he was gone. Thanks Dad, I love you.
