I’ll Have To See It To Believe It

We'll see, South Korea isn't known for being very cooperative when it comes to US beef.
n
nSouth Korea Opens to US Beef Imports
n
n
South Korea lifted a de facto ban on American beef imports Friday, after the U.S. confirmed that only two shipments meant for domestic consumption were exported mistakenly, officials said.
n
nSouth Korea shut its doors to U.S. beef in December 2003 after an outbreak of mad cow disease in America. It partially reopened its market last year, but agreed to accept only boneless meat from cattle under 30 months old, which are thought to be less at risk of carrying the illness.

n
nWay to cooperative, what is the catch? Do they just assume their will be more screw ups and they will be able to slam the door yet or are they mellowing a little bit after the Congress indicated they will kill the Free Trade Agreement over this issue? I think they are worried about the FTA and once it is in place will slam the door on US beef. Wait and see I guess.
n
nThe spirit of the agreement was that it wasn't supposed to be a ban. But within ten minutes of the time we signed it, Fay Vincent said, 'It is a permanent suspension.' That's a lie! The man lied! George Steinbrenner
n
