Maybe Gov. Brian Schweitzer's idea about a buffer zone around Yellowstone National Park for brucellosis isn't the best idea in the world, but at least he is doing something. Our Congressional delegation is just spewing mealy mouth words that mean nothing with no action behind them.
n
n
Rehberg said he is seeking more money to find a vaccine to eradicate the disease. In the meantime, he said, state and federal officials need to strictly enforce the mutual agreement that calls for the slaughter of bison that don't stay inside Yellowstone.

n
nSeeking more money, what the hell does that mean. Your a Congressman, use your clout to get the money in a bill. Don't just mouth useless words.
n
n
U.S. Sen. Jon Tester's office issued a statement saying he supports Schweitzer, but it stopped short of supporting the idea for a "buffer zone."
n
n"The governor has demonstrated a positive approach to solving several difficult issues here," Tester spokesman Matt McKenna said. "We will be working with his office and the relevant federal agencies to find a long-term solution to this problem."

n
nEven worse than Rehberg, Tester tries to avoid the issue entirely by saying he will work with the "relevant federal agencies." More meaningless words.
n
n
U.S. Sen. Max Baucus' office said the Democrat is "intrigued" by Schweitzer's idea and is looking into it. The senator also supports more money to develop a vaccine for the disease.
n
n"In the short term, (Baucus) would like to see the Interior Department take a more aggressive approach to managing bison near the park," spokesman Barrett Kaiser said.

n
nBaucus wants more money like Rehberg but won't commit to pushing for it with legislation. More words.
n
nEverybody around here knows I don't particularly like our Governor but at least he is trying to do something in this situation, not mouthing meaningless words. Our Congressional delegation should be ashamed of themselves.
n
nIt is impossible to imagine that humanity has suddenly become blind and has really lost the consciousness of a mortal danger.
