Yesterday was sure a long, hot day. Worked all 500+ cows and then trailed them 5 miles out to the hills. Quite a chore. My two girls were exhausted last night and went to bed earlier than I have seen in a long time. Good, a little bit of hard work never killed anyone.
n
nHopefully the cows will gain back some condition now. The weather is supposed to be fairly warm for this time of year so with the moisture we had some green grass ought to really come good. This should help them out.
n
nWe will see how things look over at the other place today. I am considering turning the calves I kept, my replacement heifers, out of the corral today instead of waiting until tomorrow. I usually give them 3 nights in the corral before I turn them out but almost every year there is some kind of wreck on the 3rd night so maybe it would be worth it to turn them out early. I'll decide today some time what to do.
n
nMaking a wrong decision is understandable. Refusing to search continually for learning is not. Phil Crosby
