Burns backs federal aid for Cobb Field
n
n
Sen. Conrad Burns, R-Mont., announced Monday that a $500,000 appropriation to help defray the cost of rebuilding Cobb Field will be included a federal spending bill.
n
nThe proposed federal appropriation is included in the 2007 Treasury, Transportation and Housing and Urban Development Appropriations bill. If approved, the federal money would help offset the cost of rebuilding the aging downtown baseball stadium. A bond issue to replace the downtown baseball stadium will likely go before Billings voters in November.

nWhat business is it of the Feds to ante up funding to replace Cobb field in Billings? That I'm aware of they have no interest in it so they should keep there nose out of it.
n
nSilly me, I forgot. Burns is trying to buy votes to get re-elected. That's the overriding Federal concern. This is no better than bribery Sen Burns, which you have intimate knowledge of, and anybody that falls for it ought to be ashamed of themselves.
n
nNo drug, not even alcohol, causes the fundamental ills of society.
