Report: Drought waning in state
n
n
Montana appears to be emerging from its seven-year drought, with average to above-average mountain snowpack and widespread spring rain leading experts to issue the best water supply outlook since 1997.

n
nI would have to agree with this one. We had decent moisture last year and it is looking just as good if not better this year so far. It really is nice to see the moisture and all the green grass coming. For quite a few years now I would sell my stuff that lost calves and hadn't calved yet by this time becuase I wouldn't have the grass to feed them. this year i didn't have to and I can hold on to them for awhile for them to gain weight and really shine up before I sell them. Talk about happy.
n
nThe moisture so far this year has put me a little behind, and with the hired man quitting I feel even further behind, but I will get everything done and do okay. I am trying to get all the stuff done that requires a lot of back-breaking labor before the hired man leaves. It will make my life a little easier.
n
nI found it interesting that the same time I reas about the drought waning in Montana I read about the drought in Sothern Louisiana that is really causing trouble. Destroyed by Hurricane Katrina and now in a severe drought. Sounds like a lot of bad luck to me.
n
nLuck, be a lady tonight. Frank Loesser
