Wondering

I had an interesting conversation with someone while I was waiting in line to check out. She asked me what I did for a living. I told her I was a mom. She smiled and said no what do you <I>do</I>. I repeated myself and told her I was a mom. She gave me a puzzled look and I told her I stay at home mom, SAHM Her puzzled look gave way to one of sympathy or pity. I am not sure which one. She then says oh, I see. After that she spoke to me like I had the intelligence of a 2 year old child.<br />n<br />nWhat I am wondering is why do stay at home moms have such a negativity attached to them. No, we don't have a 9-5 most of the time we have 9-9 job. There are days we hate our job and days that we love it just like any other working person. And no we don't get <I>paid</I> but I think what we get back is worth more than all the money inn the world.
