Thoughts For the Day

Can somebody in Billings explain to me why Stop signs in Billings appear to be optional. I was in Billings today and I don't know how many county 3 vehicles I saw blow through stop signs like they weren't even there. What's really good is when they about hit you doing it then flip you off and tell you how bad of driver you are for obeying the rules.
n
nIt's just like turn signals in Billings. I don't even think they are optional. There must be some law if you have a 3 license you don't need to use them. I have lived in many different places while in the Navy and the worst drivers I have ever seen are in Billings and have a 3 license. Can anyone explain this phenomena to me?
n
nOne other new thing I learned today. It was the damnedest thing, on the way to Billings for some strange reason the new vehicle really started making a singing noise. I thought it was the tires since it was speed related. The noise was so bad at anything above 50 MPH that it was unbearable. We finished getting to town at about 45 since the noise level hurt there but was bearable. I took it to the dealer where I bought the vehicle to find out what the problem was. Easy they said, there is ice on your antenna. A mechanic went out on a drive with me and experienced the noise and then we stopped, cleaned the ice off the antenna, and the noise went away. Damnedest thing I ever seen. Who would have ever thought that a little ice would cause so much noise.
n
nOne last thing, I read something that made a lot of sense and is what I practice but I want to write the gist of it here to remember it.
n
nAs a farmer, rancher, or any kind of business man there is always demands on your time and things you can be doing for your business. Sometimes it is important to let those things slide though and focus on those important things in life. Family, friends, and your own peace of mind. Don't get so wrapped up in your business that you forget to put your head up and smell the roses. Who knows what you might be missing otherwise.
n
nChoose the life that is most useful, and habit will make it the most agreeable. Francis Bacon
