I found this story about racism interesting.
n
n
The story's author, Anne E. Pettinger, reported instances of racism that included store employees admitting to watching American Indian customers with more vigilance and Indians being treated unfairly in local businesses.

n
nI wonder why this mediator isn't in Billings investigating things. The same thing happens in Billings stores if they think you're Native American. What's really bad is a lot of the places won't take a Hardin check from someone that looks like a Native American and will proudly state the fact for all to hear. This really makes my Darling Wife mad when they won't take a check from her and I walk up beside her and all of a sudden it's okay to take the check after they see me.
n
nSuch is life in the big city though and there's nothing can be done about it with the exception of those places that act like that don't see my money.
n
nRacism? But isn't it only a form of misanthropy? Joseph Brodsky
