This just shows you how out of touch the National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA), an arm of the Federal Government, really is.
n
n
"Right now, (Central American countries) can ship their products to us tariff-free, and I'm talking about beef here," he said. "We have to pay a tariff when we ship our beef to them. This agreement does away with that tariff. This is a win for U.S. beef."

n
nExcuse me, are you trying to tell me these countries have enough demand in them for the high quality, corn fed beef, we produce in this country to make a difference in our markets? I think the answer is no. So therefore this will not help us. All the government is trying to do is split agricultural producers up so as to take the sting of this out.
n
nWe must indeed all hang together, or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately. Benjamin Franklin
n
nI know the quote is not at the end like usual but it fits here. If the Government can seperate the ag industries on this issue they will down the road damage us all. Farmers and Ranchers must be aware of this and fight the Governments attempt to split us up on this issue.
n
nI guess in a way the NCBA isn't out of touch since they are an arm of the Government and doing thier bidding. I wish the rank and file members of the orginazation would wake up and listen though.
