Accountability II

So now the question is can the Governor legally remove the accountability mandates in the budget bill. I don't have the law in front of me and usually I don't understand such gibberish so I can't comment on that but accountability for how you spend the taxpayer's money seems real easy to understand.
n
nACCOUNTABILITY FOR HOW YOU SPEND THE TAXPAYER'S MONEY IS GOOD.
n
nCase closed.
n
nI do not understand! I understand nothing! I cannot understand nor do I want to understand! I want to believe! To Believe! Jean-Paul Sartre
n
nUPDATE: The Legislature's chief attorney, Greg Petesch, has stated;
n
n
In a three-page opinion, Greg Petesch wrote the Montana Constitution does not given Gov. Brian Schweitzer the authority to strip language from the 83-page bill after the Legislature has adjourned.
n
n"If (the budget bill) had been presented to the governor while the Legislature was in session, the governor could have used the 'amendatory veto' to make recommended changes to the Legislature," Petesch wrote.

n
nBut the Governor has decided to show everybody who has the bigger wang and is sticking his out there and removing the sections of the bill that give the taxpayers and the Legislature an idea how the agencies are spending the money. I hope the Governor doesn't lose something important to him in this showdown.
