Temper Tantrum

Do you want to know what happens when you elect a man with no previous political experience to an important office? <a href="http://www.billingsgazette.com//index.php?id=1&display=rednews/2005/03/10/build/state/25-schweitzer-meeting.inc" target="_new">Temper tantrums</a>.<br />n<br />n<blockquote>Senate Minority Leader Bob Keenan, R-Bigfork, said, "We went down there for 25 minutes and listened to him rant and have a 10-year-old temper tantrum. To me, it's sad. I really wonder if he wants to be governor. This is an inconvenience for him and he's finding out that it's a very difficult job.''</blockquote><br />n<br />nEven the other Democrat in the room all but admitted it happened.<br />n<br />n<blockquote>Senate President Jon Tester, D-Big Sandy, who also sat in on the meeting with Schweitzer and the Republican leaders, said, "I thought the governor had some stuff he wanted to get off his chest. He's showing some of the frustration he's got with the partisan games.'' <br />n<br />nTester predicted the next meeting between Republicans and Schweitzer is "really going to be the test." </blockquote><br />n<br />n"Some stuff he wanted to get off his chest." So this is the appropriate way to treat your opposition? Right or wrong, this is not how things are done in politics. All the Republicans wanted was a conversation, not a lecture, on what to do about the State Budget bill which is $121 million that's over what is legally allowed. Somebody has to stand up and ask the hard questions and the republicans are.<br />n<br />nYou know I don't like Schweitzer, but in this particular instance I can only feel sorry for him. Things aren't going his way and he throws a fit. This is really what adults do to express themselves. <br />n<br />nWhat happened to working together? Lecturing people on what you want them to do is not working together. He puts on a good show to the people but he's not playing well with others. Just look at his <a href="http://www.billingsgazette.com/index.php?id=1&display=rednews/2005/03/09/build/state/50-gop-charge.inc" target="_new">intimidation tactics</a> he is using and the <a href="http://www.billingsgazette.com/index.php?id=1&display=rednews/2005/03/08/build/state/64-gov-accused.inc" target="_new">threats</a> against freshman legislatures. More 10 year old bullying tactics at the best, a man losing control of himself at the worst.<br />n<br />nI know a large majority of people out there think <a href="http://governor.mt.gov/governor/govbio.asp">Gov. Brian Schweitzer</a> is the second coming himself but they really need to start seeing the true man(?) that he is, a little kid losing control.<br />n<br />n<b>Truth always rests with the minority, and the minority is always stronger than the majority, because the minority is generally formed by those who really have an opinion, while the strength of a majority is illusory, formed by the gangs who have no opinion-and who, therefore, in the next instant (when it is evident that the minority is the stronger) assume its opinion … while Truth again reverts to a new minority.
