Tyranny

The tyranny of the majority marches on.
n
n
In 2002, a statewide poll conducted by Harstad Strategic Research for anti-smoking groups found widespread support for smoking bans.
n
nAmong 602 registered voters, 66 percent favored and 29 percent opposed such bans, according to the poll.

n
nSo, if a majority of people found noisy children a nuisance the government would ban children? Just because its a majority don't make them right. Remember, in the 19th century a majority of southerners thought slavery was the right and decent way to do things. We all know better but they were a majority.
n
nThe tyranny of a multitude is a multiplied tyranny. Edmund Burke
