A leading intelligence analyst says President Bush is far and away the most deserving candidate to receive the Nobel Peace Prize this year for bringing "actual real freedom and democracy" to millions.

n
nNow I support our President but the last thing his actions deserve is the Nobel Peace Prize. His actions in Afganastan were totally warrented and appropriate I feel, but it was still a military invasion of another country and that is not a peaceful action.
n
nWhen it comes to Iraq it's a little different story. President Bush believed his actions in invading Iraq to be warranted under his preemptive strike doctrine, but in hindsight, since there was no WMD's, it turns out it wasn't warranted on that doctrine at all.
n
nI personally opposed the Iraq war up to the moment the troops rolled over the border. I will never be a fan of the situation but I muted my opposition once the troops were there. We did remove a tyrant dictator and introduce the people to democracy in Iraq but the means it was done was by war, not peace. The job isn't even done there yet. They have had an election but do they have "actual real freedom and democracy." That's going to take a while yet.
n
nA Nobel Peace Prize? I don't see it. I'm not even 100% sure he did the right thing in all the situations. Only History will be able to answer the question.
n
nPeace puts forth her olive everywhere. William Shakespeare
