Trade

I see we are maybe a little closer to resuming beef trade with Japan. There has been some contrevorsy over the way to age the cattle and now it seems like Japan is going to accept the way the US does it. I hope we can get this trade opened up again. It is going to be hard to win market share in Japan back from Australia but with the border going to be open for Canadian cattle to come into the US shortly we need an outlet for all that extra beef from Canada.
n
nIn fact that's a real good idea. Send all them Canadian cattle, where all the BSE in North America originated from, over to Japan and let them have it. Keep American cattle and consumers safe. Sounds like a plan.
n
nWe rail at trade, but the historian of the world will see that it was the principle of liberty; that it settled America, and destroyed feudalism, and made peace and keeps peace. Ralph Waldo Emerson
