Legislation

I've talked about this before, and I'm sure I will again, but why, if ethenol is such a wonderful thing, does it take government intervention to make it work. If it is cost effective to add ethanol to gas it shouldn't take laws to make it happen. The free market would provide the mechanism to distribute this wonderful product and it would be happening.
n
nDon't get me wrong, it would be a nice boost to our economy if ethanol production was cost effective but government redistribution doesn't help the situation. This summer when I went down to Casper, WY I stopped at a station that offered gas with ethanol in it. I don't know if it was the ethanol or what but it appeared I got really good gas mileage and power on that tank of gas. If I had the option I would buy gas with Montana Ethanol in it but I don't want the Government ramming it down my throat and making me. I will fight and kick every step of the way under that situation.
n
nLegislation nowadays is largely in the hands of illiterate people, and the illiterate will take good care that their illiteracy is not made a reproach on them.
