Boys – Thoughts From The Middle of Nowhere

What can I say this morning? My prediction didn't turn out yet. What should I talk about? n n1. The disaster for Montana with a <a href="http://www.billingsgazette.com//index.php?id=1&display=rednews/2004/11/03/build/state/25-gov-race.inc" target="_blank">Schweitzer</a> win? Well at least there will now be cheap drugs flowing over the border from Canada to keep the people in a drug stupor. By the way, if Schweitzer continues to drive me crazy, is that a medical condition I can take <a href="http://www.billingsgazette.com//index.php?id=1&display=rednews/2004/11/03/build/state/50-med-pot.inc" target="_blank">medical marijuana</a> to help with? Something to look into. n n<!–more–> n n2. Kerry's <a href="http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&u=/ap/20041103/ap_on_el_pr/eln_election_rdp" target="_blank">statement</a> "We will fight for every vote," indicating the lawyers are going to be out in force to contest the whole election? Lawyers need to work too so I guess this is one way to help the economy. Maybe it's a way to teach the American public a sense of what bi-partisan means in todays politics. n n3. The annoying phone calls yesterday that kept telling me that as a Native American (I was born here but I am not a Native American in the sense they meant) it was my "duty" to go out and vote for the Democrats. n nI don't think any of these issues deserve my attention. I would really like to know why boys can't be boys anymore? What is so horrible about a <a href="http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&u=/ap/20041102/ap_on_fe_st/chopper_prank" target="_blank">helicopter crew</a> holding up a sign asking women to bare thier breasts. Sounds to me like a typical bunch of young men looking for a cheap thrill. Sorry, it might be considered bad taste but I don't see the harm to anyone. Just a simple boys will be boys stupid stunt. n nBoys are beyond the range of anybody's sure understanding, at least when they are between the ages of 18 months and 90 years. James Thurber
