I see that scientists have sequenced <a href="http://www.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,4057,10997669%255E1702,00.html" target="_blank">Bovine DNA</a>. The claim is that this will help in the future breed more feed efficient cattle with more uniform marbling and better taste. I am not so sure that this will be the case but I will give it a chance. My question is why they used <a href="http://www.eurekalert.org/images/release_graphics/CSIRO1006_1.jpg" target="_blank">this Herford cow</a> as the test subject? Herford cattle have been declining in popularity for many years so in my opinion they should have used a more popular breed for thier first subject.
