Now I remind you this is America, or I thought it was.
n
nNew Mexicans seeking Cheney tickets have to sign oath
n
nYou are out campaigning for public office and to get in and see the candidate you have to sign a oath saying you support the candidate. A loyalty oath? What, are we in Nazi Germany or are we only going that way? I don't care what the excuse is, this is idiotic. This as a security step to avoid disruption? What can't his heart take a little criticism from people with a different viewpoint?
n
nI will point out I am sure that the Vice President or President had nothing to do with the decision to do this but whatever campaign flunky did this needs to be taken out and shot. This was a stupid decision by a campaign flunky who thought he was doing the right thing. This is exactly what you get for thinking. A stupid decision. You know, I am all ready tired of the Presidential campaign and there is still a long ways to go. I guess the question is, how many more stupid things will the campaigns do on the way to election day? Too many, that's for sure.
n
nNo sovereign, no court, no personal loyalty, no aristocracy, no church, no clergy, no army, no diplomatic service, no country gentlemen, no palaces, no castles, nor manors, nor old country- houses, nor parsonages, nor thatched cottages nor ivied ruins; no cathedrals, nor abbeys, nor little Norman churches; no great Universities nor public schoolsâ
