Busy this morning. Between the back spasms, which are finally on the decrease after 3 weeks fighting back problems, and getting ready to pregnancy check the replacement heifers was just too busy/uncomfortable to post anything. Kind of wish there was something exiting to talk about but afraid not.<br />n<!–more–><br />nThe Pregnancy check went well and got them done fairly fast. I couldn't have picked a nicer day if I tried this was scheduled 3 weeks ago so I assumed it would be warm. Normally you could assume that in late July it is going to be at least 90 degrees out but the high today was only 70. We had 20 dries for 100 tested. A little high but within reason for the way I run them. Most people will want %95+ conception rate on their heifers. I minimize my inputs into them so as a by product of that I don't get the best conception rates.
