Elk Feeding

I more than agree with this that the whole elk feeding idea needs to be looked at. The only problem I see at this point is how to convince the elk. Let us assume that the state decides to close some feedgrounds. The elk are still going to come to that area looking for feed and when they don't find any raid nearby ranches looking for some. Might even make the problems of cattle and elk mixing even worse than it is now.
n
nI have no idea what the solution should be, but once you start something it is really hard to stop since the critters are now expecting it. Just another way of screwing up the way mother nature intended things to be if you ask me.
n
nYou think Nature is some Disney movie? Nature is a killer. Nature is a bitch. It's feeding time out there 24 hours a day, every step that you take is a gamble with death. If it isn't getting hit with lightning today, it's an earthquake tomorrow or some deer tick carrying Lime disease. Either way, you're ending up on the wrong end of the food chain. Jeff Melvoin
