Bulls on a ranch can be a pain in the ass. Monday evening I got a call from one of my neighbors that they had found a bull of ours with thier cows and had drove it home and put it in my good corral. So yesterday mornig I was going to bring the bull home and keep it here until I had a chance to take it to market. Well I got to the corral and discovered he had tore two corral fences down and was gone again. I called the neighbor and let them know he was loose again and to watch out for him. Well they called last night and said they had him again and he was in thier corral so I went over and got him and he is standing in my stock trailer right now and shortly he will be on his way to market.
n<!–more–>
nCouple of interesting things about this story. This bull traveled 8 miles to get to the neighbors cattle, not once but twice and when the neighbors brought him to my corral they trailed him that 8 miles to get there. He is one traveling fool. The reason I want to sell this bull is now that he has been with the neighbors cows I don't know if he has any sexually transmitted diseases or not so he is not safe to put with my cows and if he crawls/jumps fences like this I can't be sure he will stay with my cows and not go visit the cows over the fence. Seems like every year I get a bull that gets this way and I am forced to git rid of him. Like I said, bulls are a pain in the ass.
n
nThe fool wanders, a wise man travels.
