In a way today was a really bad day. I hoped and prayed that it would rain or snow but to no avail. Dry as a bone. Yesterday both David and Anthony were commenting that the snow was a great April Fools joke. I wish it would have made a fool of me, but I guess Mother Nature played the best joke on me and sent no moisture my way. Ahh, don't mind me. It kind of gets me down when I miss out on moisture that other parts of the state got. One of these days I will get some that other parts of the state miss. What goes around comes around.
n<!–more–>
nThe weather has been so nice that I have quit feeding some of the critters and am working at getting them out in the "hills." We trailed the Yearlings out about 6 miles south on Wednesday (Note To Self: Darling Wife's camera is a piece of s**t, don't try to use again). It was a little chilly this morning but since there was no moisture we took the 2 year-olds out to pasture too. We had to trail them about 5 miles east and by the time we were done the babies were awful tired but they made it like champs. We will start kicking cows out to pasture on Monday so that we don't have to feed any critters after that. Hope I get wet while doing it. That would make me happy.
n
nA fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be a fool. William Shakespeare
