Identity

I saw <a href="http://www.billingsgazette.com//index.php?id=1&display=rednews/2004/03/24/build/local/75-student-injured.inc">this story</a> in the Gazette this morning and caught this interesting statement in it.<br />n<br />n<i>Because of confidentiality laws, Anderson could not identify the student or his gender.</i><br />n<br />nNow maybe in my ignorance I missed something here, but doesn't the word <u>his</u> indicate the gender here that supposedly couldn't be identified?<br />n<br />n<b>While one person hesitates because he feels inferior, the other is busy making mistakes and becoming superior.
