Politics

I rarely get involved in political discussions since I became very disillusioned with the whole political process many years ago but I do have a question for you more political types. I read this morning in the paper that Bush urges constitutional amendment to outlaw gay marriages. Is our President doing this because he is truly concerned about how same sex marriages will bring about the downfall of the country or is it just a political ploy to try to win back conservative voters, who he has alienated lately, during this election season? I am disillusioned enough with the political process to think it is the second thing.
n
nPolitics is not the art of the possible. It consists in choosing between the disastrous and the unpalatable. John Kenneth Galbraith
