Chickens II

I never thought my comments about chickens would raise such a response. Every thing from my Darling Wife's and Peggy's passionate defense of the merits of chickens to the discussion between Joe and Cliff on the feel of chicken shit on the hands and between the toes. Joe and Cliff, I can proudly say I have never experienced the feel of chicken shit on my hands or feet (I always recommend wearing shoes in a barn yard) and I don't plan on starting now.
n
nPeggy, I would have to agree with everything you said with the exception of high intelligence. They don't call them bird brains for nothing. My wife has 32 chickens and they all have different personalities and react different in situations. A few of them even have names. In fact there is one chicken I would like to kill on a daily basis.
n<!–more–>
n

n
nThis chicken with no feathers on its neck is the biggest pain in the flock. If there is a place it is not supposed to be, that's where she will be. If there is a way to scare my cows, she will do it. In general, she's a pain in the butt.
n
n

n
nThis is just a picture of some of the other chickens for you lovers of the avian species out there. Enjoy.
n
nIt is better to be the head of the chicken than the tail of an ox. Chinese proverb.
